Overview

Cord’s developer platform allows you to connect your internal systems and automate complex financial workflows through a modern, secure, and event-driven architecture. Our design philosophy focuses on predictable, resource-oriented APIs using standard HTTP responses.

What can you build?

  • ERP Synchronization: Keep your product catalog and customer base in sync with your accounting system using the Products API and Clients API.
  • Event Automation: Listen to key events (payments, approvals) and trigger real-time actions using Webhooks. For example, mark an invoice as paid in your system when the client signs the quote in Cord.
  • AI Agents: Connect smart assistants like Claude or ChatGPT to your financial data using our MCP Server.
  • Embedded Experiences: Deploy native quoters inside your own customer portal with Cord Elements.

Your control panel

Everything you build is managed and debugged from the Cord Workbench: a panel that lives at the bottom of the app with your API keys, webhook endpoints, event timeline, request log, and the health of your integration. Turn it on with Developer mode at the bottom of the Settings index.

Secure Environments

We build for enterprise development. That’s why all Cord accounts include isolated Sandbox environments where you can perform destructive testing (like deleting all test data with a single endpoint) without affecting your live production data. Read more in Test Environments.
