EACH VARIANT, ITS PRICE

A shirt in three sizes is three products, not one.

In Shopify, price and SKU live on the variant, not the product. Cord respects that: every variant comes in as its own product, so you quote the exact size at the exact price. A product you delete in Shopify is deactivated in Cord instead of disappearing, because it may sit inside a quote you already sent.

NO DUPLICATE CUSTOMERS

Your client list does not fill up with copies.

The company comes from the customer's company in Shopify and, if there is none, from their name. If that email already exists in Cord, the integration recognizes it and fills in what is missing instead of creating a second record. When the merchant changes something in Shopify, Cord updates it within seconds, and only if it really changed.

Cord reads your store, and only writes what you turn on.

Reading products and customers is automatic. Creating orders is not: it starts off and you turn it on from the card, choosing whether the order lands when the quote is approved or when the client pays. Cord never edits your catalog or changes prices; the only thing it writes is that order, which draws down inventory like any other order in your store. If you uninstall the app from Shopify, Cord finds out on its own and stops syncing.

How to connect Shopify

    Open the Shopify card

    In Cord, go to Settings › Integrations › Shopify.

    Type your store domain

    The one ending in myshopify.com; you will find it in Shopify › Settings › Domains.

    Authorize in Shopify

    Shopify shows exactly what the app asks for: read products and customers, and create orders when you turn that on.

    Quote with your catalog

    Within minutes your products and customers are in Cord, ready to build the quote.

What it does not do yet

We would rather you read it here than find it out halfway through.

  • The Shopify order starts off: you turn it on in the card, choosing whether it is created when the quote is approved or when the client pays.
  • The order is created in your store currency. If the quote uses a different currency, Cord does not create it instead of charging in the wrong one.
  • Order taxes are calculated by Shopify with your store settings; the fiscal document is still the one from Cord.
  • Each variant comes in as a Cord product, so a catalog with many variants arrives with many rows.
  • Stock levels are not checked while quoting yet; the catalog brings price and SKU.
