Claude prepares; a person approves what leaves Cord.

Claude can create draft quotes and invoices, add clients, create tasks, record payment promises and propose your account setup for you to approve. Sending, approving or rejecting a quote, recording a payment, updating a client or running a workflow can only be requested if you tick it when authorizing, and even then it does not run: Cord files a request in Settings › MCP › Requests, and a person with the permission for that action approves or rejects it.

Claude opens Cord's Authorize connection screen. If you are not signed in to Cord, it asks you to.

Pick and authorize
Pick the workspace, decide whether Claude may request actions that leave Cord and authorize. You need access to Settings.

In a new chat, ask for example which invoices are overdue. Claude uses Cord's tools when it needs them.

Claude does not issue or file invoices, or change your account settings: it creates drafts and proposes the setup for you to approve in Cord.
Actions that leave Cord do not run from the conversation: they wait in Settings › MCP › Requests and expire if nobody decides within 72 hours.
An OAuth connection always works with your live data; for the test environment, connect with a test key.
Every request Claude makes to Cord counts as an API call on your plan.

What do I need to connect Claude to Cord?

A Claude account and, in Cord, access to the workspace Settings: only someone who manages them can authorize the connection. The connector is included in every Cord plan, starting with Free.

Can Claude send something to my clients without me knowing?

No. Sending, approving or rejecting a quote, recording a payment, updating a client or running a workflow can only be requested if you allow it when authorizing, and even then it does not run from the conversation: Cord files a request that someone on your team approves or rejects in Settings › MCP › Requests. If nobody decides within 72 hours, it expires.

What does Claude see of my business?

What it asks for with each tool, from the workspace you authorized: quotes, invoices and their balance, overdue receivables, clients, products, events and a business summary. No tool issues or files invoices, and what your client writes on the public link reaches it marked as an external message.

Does it work with ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code?

Yes. ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code connect with the URL https://cordhq.app/api/mcp and the same OAuth authorization, without pasting any key. For a client without OAuth, Settings › MCP gives you the configuration with a Cord key.

How much does it cost?

The connector is included in every Cord plan, starting with Free. Every request Claude makes to Cord counts as an API call on your plan.

How do I disconnect Claude?

Remove the connector in Claude, or revoke the connection in the Keys tab of Cord's Workbench, where it shows up under Claude's name with the OAuth label. Once revoked, the requests it left pending can no longer be approved.
