The CAE, with no middleman
Cord connects directly to ARCA's web services: it authenticates with the business's certificate, requests the CAE for each document and keeps ARCA's response as the source of truth. There is no intermediary between your invoice and the authority.
What it covers
- Type A, B or C based on your VAT status and your customer's, following RG 5616/2024. Monotributo and exempt businesses issue type C.
- Recipients with CUIT, DNI or as an unidentified final consumer, the latter only on B and C and below the RG 5700/2025 threshold.
- VAT by rate, discounts and services: the document discount travels net and matches the invoice; services carry their period and due date.
- Foreign currency: with the document's frozen exchange rate if your books are in pesos, or ARCA's official rate; without a rate, nothing is sent.
- Credit notes linked to the invoice they adjust. A document with a CAE isn't voided: it is offset with a credit note.
- Nothing is duplicated: if a response is lost, Cord queries ARCA before asking again and keeps the same number.
- Printout with the letter, code, CAE and its expiry, the RG 4892/2020 QR, and the final-consumer and tax-transparency legends.
Why it is in beta
Requests are validated against ARCA's official schemas and were tested against its homologation servers, but the first real issuance with a taxpayer's certificate is still pending. It is switched on for Argentina after that test, and each business activates it with its web services point of sale and its certificate.
How it works
The business creates a web services point of sale in ARCA and a certificate linked to e-invoicing.
In Settings it uploads the certificate and fills in the point of sale, VAT status and concept.
On issue, Cord requests the CAE, stores the response and, if none arrives, queries before retrying.
Availability and scope
Businesses in Argentina on Starter or higher. Each authorized document counts toward the tax-compliant invoice allowance; homologation documents don't.
Clear limits
It doesn't issue export type E invoices, MiPyME Electronic Credit Invoices, type M documents or CAEA, nor to uncategorized recipients, and it doesn't report withholdings, perceptions or other levies: those cases are rejected before requesting the CAE.
