Your brand, in the address too
The link your client receives is the first thing they see from you. With Cord Domains it no longer starts with cordhq.app and uses a subdomain of your company, such as quotes.yourcompany.com. Your website and your email stay as they are.
What's included
- Your links on your domain: the quote, the invoice, the customer portal and the pages opened from collection emails, including the ones Cord sends on your behalf.
- Step-by-step connection: you choose the address, confirm it's yours with a TXT record, connect it with a CNAME and Cord issues the HTTPS certificate for you.
- What Cord sees in your DNS: each record says whether it already shows up, has a different value, was saved with quotes or with a doubled name, conflicts with another record, sits behind a proxy or whether a CAA record blocks the certificate. Cord recognizes your DNS provider and links you to its dashboard.
- If someone else manages your DNS: you email them the instructions, with a link that expires in 7 days and gives no access to your account.
- Automatic checks: Cord checks your DNS even after you close the tab and emails you when the domain goes live, if records are missing or if it stops verifying.
- Links that don't break: if the domain stops verifying or you downgrade, the links your clients already have take them to the same page on cordhq.app, as long as your subdomain still points to Cord.
Clear limits
Cord Domains is available from the Professional plan, outside the test environment. It uses a subdomain, never the root domain, and each organization connects one domain at a time. Emails still go out from Cord with your business name, or from your Gmail if you connect it.
How it works
In Settings › Brand appearance › Cord Domains, you choose the subdomain and add the TXT record Cord shows you.
Once Cord confirms the TXT, you add the CNAME to cname.cordhq.app and Cord issues the HTTPS certificate.
From then on, your clients' new links use your subdomain and Cord checks the connection every day.
Availability and scope
Quotes, invoices, the customer portal and collection pages on a subdomain of the business, with HTTPS and not indexed by search engines.
Clear limits
Your domain only opens your clients' links: not the app, not Settings, not another organization's links. It doesn't support the root domain or send emails from your domain.
