Your Cord invoices in QuickBooks Online, without typing them twice.

Every final invoice enters your accounting with its customer, lines and currency, recorded in your books. Stop reconciling at month end what was already in two places.

NO DUPLICATES

An invoice is recorded only once.

Cord remembers which invoice was recorded in your accounting and does not repeat it, even if the event is retried. The customer is looked up by email first so your list does not fill with duplicates, and the link is remembered for later invoices.

  • Only final invoices, never quotes or Cord drafts
  • The negotiated price with its discount applied
  • Each amount computed on the already-rounded price, so it matches to the cent

HOW IT ARRIVES

Recorded, with a single service in your catalog.

QuickBooks has no drafts, so Cord only sends final invoices. Every QuickBooks line has to point to a product or service: Cord uses one service called Cord instead of inventing one per item, and puts the Cord number in the private note so it never overwrites your numbering.

  • One service called Cord, created once
  • The Cord number in the private note
  • Your invoice numbering untouched

NO SURPRISES

What it doesn't do yet

We'd rather you read it here than find out halfway through.

  • Payments sync only for invoices already in QuickBooks: a payment on an invoice that has not been sent yet waits until the invoice arrives.
  • Each line enters with the tax rate in your accounting that matches Cord's. If that rate does not exist there, or the invoice has withholdings, it is not sent and Settings tells you why.
  • Invoices and customers go from Cord to your accounting; only the payments you record there come back, once a day or when you click Send pending invoices.

QUESTIONS

QuickBooks Online and Cord

No. Cord remembers every recorded invoice and never sends it again.

Cord starts from scratch with it instead of reusing the previous links.
