One way to invoice, in any country
The regulatory rail changes depending on where you are; your workflow does not. Approve the quote, hit invoice, and Cord picks the right rail for you.
Key benefits:
- Mexico (real CFDI 4.0): stamped with the SAT, using your own CSD if you uploaded it, with downloadable XML + PDF. This rail is Mexico-only: it is Mexican regulation, not everyone's.
- Spain (Verifactu): the chaining and submission engine required by RD 1007/2023 is built and verified against the AEAT's official test vectors: SHA-256 fingerprint, verification QR code, and submission structure. Going live in production depends on Cord's own registration with the Spanish tax authority, still underway; until then, your invoice is issued as a commercial document with its own numbering, never as a simulated Verifactu record.
- Everywhere else (a Cord invoice): its own numbering per organization, data frozen at issue time, and a PDF carrying your business's logo and color. It is a commercial invoice: it does not claim to have been filed with the local tax authority.
- In the currency of the sale: the document is issued in the currency you sold in. If your books are in a different one, the invoice states the exchange rate applied and the converted total.
- Numbering per country: each country keeps its own series (Spain resets yearly, as its accounting practice requires), so entering a new market never breaks your folio sequence.
What it does not do yet:
Outside Mexico and Spain, the invoice is not automatically filed with the local authority. Mandatory e-invoicing rails in other countries, such as DIAN in Colombia or SII in Chile, are on the list, and the architecture is ready to connect them.
How it works
The organization configures its tax profile, series, and accounting currency.
On issue, Cord freezes issuer, recipient, lines, taxes, and exchange rate.
It creates a branded PDF with number, due date, taxes, and payment instructions.
Availability and scope
Commercial invoice for supported markets without an active fiscal rail. Spain uses Verifactu only when both the organization and Cord meet activation conditions.
Clear limits
Outside connected regulatory rails, Cord does not claim to file the document with a local authority. DIAN, SII, and other systems are not connected today.
