The other side of the invoice

E-invoicing reforms don't only require issuing: they also require receiving. In France, every business must be able to receive electronic invoices from September 1, 2026 (DGFiP). In Spain, the law requires businesses to issue, send and receive B2B e-invoices on the dates of the AEAT's public solution: October 6, 2027 and 2028 (BOE). These are the obligation's dates, not Cord delivery dates.

Today

  • Chile: Cord receives the documents issued to you through the exchange, validates them, replies to the issuer and records acceptance or a claim with the SII.
  • France: Cord only issues through the approved platform, and Settings says so: the business needs its own reception platform.
  • Everywhere else: Cord does not receive supplier invoices.

What blocks it

Receiving isn't storing a file: it means showing and keeping the invoices received, answering or reporting their statuses on each country's deadlines, and not moving the reception address the business already has with another platform. It's a new Cord surface, to be designed country by country.

How it works

  1. The supplier's invoice arrives at the business's mailbox or electronic address.

  2. Cord validates it, shows it with its status and keeps it.

  3. The business accepts or rejects it, and Cord reports that decision on the country's deadlines.

Availability and scope

Future initiative for invoices received from suppliers in countries that require receiving them. Today it exists in Chile, within the SII exchange.

Clear limits

Cord never registers a reception address on the business's behalf, nor accepts or rejects an invoice without a person's explicit decision.
