Client data

The first step of your quote: define who you are selling to and ensure the invoice will be generated without errors.

Ways to add clients

When starting a new quote, the first panel you will see is Client Information. Cord offers different ways to nourish your database:

  1. Manual Creation: Directly from the quoter, you can click “New Client” and fill out a quick form with their commercial and fiscal data.
  2. Bulk Import (CSV / Excel): If you are migrating from another CRM or ERP, you can go to the Clients section in the main menu, download our CSV template, and upload thousands of contacts in seconds.
  3. API Synchronization: For development teams, Cord offers a REST API to automatically sync prospects from Salesforce, Hubspot, or your own internal system.

Client Tiers and Automatic Discounts

In B2B, not all clients pay the same. Cord supports Client Tiers. When creating or editing a client, you can assign them a category, for example:

  • Tier 1 (General Public): No discount.
  • Tier 2 (Distributors): 15% off.
  • Tier 3 (VIP Wholesalers): 30% off.

How does it work? When you select a Tier 2 client in your quote, Cord will automatically apply the 15% discount to all the products you add, saving your sales team from having to calculate or remember pricing rules.

Commercial and Fiscal Information

For a client profile to be complete, it consists of two vital parts:

Commercial Information (What the client sees)

  • Company name: The commercial name (e.g., Flouvia).
  • Main contact: The person making the decision (e.g., André Valle).
  • Email address: Where quote notifications and the magic link will be sent.

Fiscal Information (For CFDI 4.0)

If you leave this for later, your quote will be commercially valid, but you won’t be able to stamp it. We suggest requesting this data from the beginning:

  • Legal Name (Razón Social): Exactly as it appears on their Constancia de Situación Fiscal (CSF), without the corporate regime (e.g., write FLOUVIA instead of FLOUVIA SAPI DE CV).
  • RFC: Tax ID. Cord has smart RFC validation; if we detect an incorrect structure, we will warn you before saving.
  • Fiscal Zip Code: Must match their CSF.
  • Tax Regime: The regime under which they file taxes.
  • CFDI Usage: The reason they are requesting the invoice (e.g., G03 - General expenses).
