Quote Management
Master the lifecycle of your commercial proposals. Save drafts, reuse successful quotes, and easily update versions.
The Draft Lifecycle
Not all quotes are finished in 5 minutes. Sometimes you need to check prices with suppliers or wait for your manager’s approval before sending it.
1. Save as Draft
- While creating a quote, you can click “Save as Draft” at the bottom right.
- This will securely save all your progress (client, products, discounts).
- The quote will appear on your Kanban board under the “Drafts” column with a gray tag.
2. Continue Editing
To resume a draft:
- Go to the Dashboard.
- Click on the draft card you want to continue.
- The details view will open. Click on “Edit Quote”.
- You will be redirected to the quoter exactly where you left off. When finished, you can send it, and its status will change to Sent.
Duplicating Quotes (Time-saver)
If you have a standardized service or want to sell exactly the same thing to a different client, you don’t have to start from scratch.
How to duplicate in the app:
- Go to the details view of any quote (regardless of whether it’s been paid, canceled, or is a draft).
- Click the three dots button (•••) in the top right corner.
- Select “Duplicate Quote”.
- Cord will create an identical new draft. You just need to change the client (if applicable) and adjust prices if necessary.
Cancellation and Version Control
If you have already sent a quote, but the client asks for a major change, do not edit the same quote (as there could be legal confusion if the client approves while you edit).
- The correct workflow is to Duplicate the quote, make the adjustments, and send the new link.
- Then, on the original quote, use the (•••) button and select “Mark as Canceled” to keep your pipeline clean.
