Cord has two distinct deletions, both self-service from Settings — you don’t need to email support.
Deleting your organization (the business)
In Settings › Data & privacy, under “Danger zone”, the organization’s owner can delete it completely. This permanently and immediately deletes:
- All quotes, clients, and product catalog.
- The tax documents (invoices) stamped by that organization.
- API keys, webhooks, templates, kits, and the audit log.
- The team and its permissions.
Download your invoices before deleting. This is a real deletion — Cord doesn’t keep a copy of your tax receipts after deleting the organization. Use “Export everything (JSON)” on the same page before continuing. The confirmation dialog asks you to explicitly acknowledge you’ve already downloaded them.
To confirm you’ll need: your password (or a code from your authenticator app if you only sign in with Google/Apple), and to type the organization’s exact name.
Deleting your personal account
In Settings › Your account, under “Danger zone”, you can delete your user. This:
- Deletes your sessions, passkeys, and connected accounts (Google/Apple).
- Also deletes any organization where you’re the sole owner (no one else on the team) — same effect as above.
- If you own an organization that does have other active members, Cord blocks the account deletion: transfer ownership or remove those members first from Settings › Team.
To confirm you’ll need your password (or authenticator code) and to type your exact email.
Both actions are permanent
Neither can be undone. Export your data first from Settings › Data & privacy (“Export everything” and the catalog/client CSVs).
