Get paid with Bizum
With Bizum, your customer in Spain pays from their bank’s app with their phone number, without entering card details. The payment confirms right away and arrives in your usual payout.
How to turn it on
- Open Settings › Payments › Payment methods.
- Turn on Bizum. You need Cord Payments active and an account in Spain.
When you turn it on, the processor reviews your account before activating Bizum, and meanwhile the row says In review. Bizum doesn’t accept some lines of business, such as jewelry, gambling, or charity fundraising, and may ask a sole proprietor for their DNI or NIE. Once the row says Active, your customers see it.
What your customer sees
On the invoice link, the quote’s payment page, and the portal, the method reads Card or Bizum. When they choose Bizum, they enter their phone number, approve the payment in their bank’s app, and the page updates on its own.
Limits
- EUR only.
- From €0.50 to €5,000 per payment. Above that, your customer sees the other methods.
- Not saved for automatic payments: your customer approves each payment.
What it costs
The processor charges 1.5% + €0.25 per Bizum payment. Cord doesn’t charge a fee in euros for now. You see it in Settings › Payments › Fees.
Refunds
A Bizum payment can be refunded in full or in part up to 395 days later, from the invoice detail. The money returns to your customer’s account within minutes.
