Email and Slack notifications

There are two places:

  • Email: each person chooses which notices they get in Settings › Your account › Preferences, section My email notices: all, only those for quotes they created, or none. They arrive in the interface language that person chose.
  • Slack and Teams: set up for the whole team in Settings › Notifications (if you connect a channel under Settings › Integrations).

Available events

  • Quote viewed
  • Quote approved
  • Quote rejected
  • Payment received
  • Quote about to expire (3 days before)
  • Overdue payment
  • Someone joined the team
  • Task reminder (every morning)

In Settings › Notifications, check the Slack or Teams box for each event and press Save changes. The email column says Personal and links to Preferences, except for the task reminder. In Preferences each notice saves right away.

For each notice a person hasn’t changed, the owner gets approved, rejected, and paid quotes by email (or what the company had checked for email before email became personal), and the rest of the team gets those for their own quotes.

Slack

You need an Incoming Webhook from your Slack workspace (Apps → Incoming Webhooks → Add to Slack). Paste the URL into the same Notifications screen and press Save changes. The “Someone joined the team” alert only has an email version — it has no folio or amount to show in a Slack channel.

Task reminder

It isn’t personal: from 8:00 in your business’s time zone, each assignee gets an email with their tasks due today and overdue. It’s email only and comes on by default; unchecking it turns it off for the whole organization. More in Team tasks and reminders.
